FAQ
What is your pet sitting experience?
I have owned cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs (and many other animals having grown up on a farm) my entire life and I founded my independent pet sitting business in August 2021. I am an all round animal lover with a passion for understanding animal behaviour. Owning my own rescue dog I am well versed in patience and understanding when it comes to animals. Every pet is different - I will be wholly guided by you and your own pets needs.
What areas do you cover?
BT4, BT5, BT6, BT7, BT8, BT9, BT16, BT18. If you live beyond this radius I may be able to help you find an alternative pet sitter, get in touch today and I would be happy to help you.
How do you take payment?
I accept payment via cash, bank transfer or PayPal at the point of collecting house keys or on the day prior to the first home visit. Payment details will be provided with the quote, following completion of the booking form.
How do I make a booking?
Please contact me at home.comfortspetsitting@outlook.com to enquire about availability. If your dates are free, I will ask you to complete the booking form available on this website. Following this I will provide you with a quote and if you are happy to proceed we will arrange a date for a free meet & greet. Please note that accepting the T&Cs on the booking form is compulsory prior to the home visit.
What is your cancellation policy?
I'm pretty flexible! If you need to cancel please give me at least 48 hours notice and I will refund the full amount. Beyond this timeframe payment will be required in full.
How will my keys be collected, looked after and returned?
I will collect your house keys at our initial meet and greet free of charge, and they will be kept in a locked safe box. On the final visit I will post your keys through your letterbox in a sealed envelope. Please note this is done at your own risk, but this is generally the most efficient method of returning keys. If you would prefer your keys to be returned in person I am happy to do so at an additional cost of £10 to cover mileage.
What happens if there is an emergency?
It's good to be prepared for the unlikely. At the time of booking I will take details about the vet you use, as well as an additional emergency contact (who it is advisable for you to leave a second set of keys with). If your pet needs to be transported to the vet, please note that you will be responsible for all charges incurred and these will be invoiced to you when you return, in addition to £15 per hour for time taken transporting your pet to the vets, waiting and transporting home if applicable. It is also good to note that I am fully insured with pet sitters insurance.
